Arakan Beach Houses are built on traditional stilts out of recycled ironwood and bamboo. They are naturally thatched with Nipa roofs. Three are set on the beachfront, and the other two are set back a little to emphasize the feeling of being in a coconut grove. They have a stretch of greenery in front before opening up to the sea.

Arakan Beach Houses XL are extra spacious and impress with understated grandeur combined with simplicity. Two are more elevated and slightly set back to honour the full picture of the coconut grove, cost views and the sea. One stands as close as can be to the beachfront.

The Arakan Garden House is set back within the coconut grove just 50 meters from the beach line and built on high stilts. It has two separate rooms with a balcony each. The rooms are inter-connected by a sea view terrace. Both rooms come with their own bathroom/toilet.

We offer full board, with all meals included as there are no restaurants in our village.

Special Promotion during this 1st Season

• Book 4 nights – get the fifth night free, including full board
• Upgrade upon arrival to your preferred house of next category if free during your entire stay

Family Welcome Plan with Extra Beds

• Children under 6 years - all free including child extra bed
• Children 6 to under 12 years: one extra bed free per unit - food surcharge of 22 US$/day 
• Children 12 to under 18 years - 50% of single full board rate of booked unit; max. 1 extra bed per unit
• We provide max. one extra bed per unit and for families only
• If you have more than one child, contact us directly

Friends and Small Group Welcome

• Please enquire with us if you are coming with friends or as a small group. We will do our best to accommodate you in adjoining houses and work out a special rate for you.

Transfers
Transfers are not included in our rates. For all travel options and timings, please refer to our website (About us/Getting here). We can arrange your transfer by private driver either from Ngapali Airport/Hotels or from Yangon at the following rates:

• Ngapali Airport - Zikhone: 95 US$ per way/car - max. 4 persons – 2h 45min
• Yangon - Zikhone: 195 US$ per way/car – max. 4 persons – 6h 30min - 7h

We encourage our guests to consider the private bus companies running comfortable AC-busses between Yangon and Ngapali, at least for one way. This will make your trip more economical but will take a bit longer. See more info about bus options on our website.

Terms & Conditions

Payment

We ask for a 30% deposit payment of your confirmed booking within 14 days after we send our confirmation invoice
The invoice balance is due 60 days prior to your arrival
Bookings made less than 60 days prior to arrival must be paid in full within 7 days

Cancellation & Refunds

All cancellations are to be notified in writing to [email protected]
Our reimbursement schedule is as follows:

• 30% deposit at the time of booking is non-refundable
• 60 and more days prior to arrival we reimburse 70% of your confirmed/fully paid booking
• 60-30 days prior to arrival we reimburse 50% of a confirmed/fully paid booking
• Cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival or no-shows incur a cancellation fee of 100% (=no reimbursement)

Extension of stay & Amendment of bookings

• We are happy to extend your stays at rates to be agreed at the time of amendment.
• Where guests alter their bookings at short notice (less than 30 days in advance) and at their own volition, we are not liable to refund any portion of their stay. Amendments at short notice or for reasons beyond the control of Arakan Nature Lodge will not be liable for refund. Yet, we will do our utmost to help fit in amendments when we can.
